The assault caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
