I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
