The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been intense.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've seen a few fans create a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
